I experience an annoying graphical issue in the Call of Duty games, and it has appeared in several different releases. I noticed something similar in an older Call of Duty title, and even in the newer one as well. The best way I can describe it is that, in certain situations, the image starts to flicker or jump. It was especially noticeable when there were many straight lines, window frames, or similar details on the screen, and strong light, such as sunlight, was hitting that surface.
For a long time, I tried to find out what the proper technical term for this issue might be. The closest term I found was probably “flickering,” but the videos and descriptions I found online did not show exactly the same problem that I experienced.

The strange thing is that the issue kept appearing even though my entire computer was replaced over time, and even my monitor was changed as well. I replaced the graphics card, monitor, processor, RAM, and even the operating system changed. I used both Nvidia and AMD graphics cards, yet the issue still appeared. This suggested that it was not the fault of a specific hardware component.
The turning point finally came when I tried AMD’s FSR frame generation technology on my graphics card. With that, the issue was significantly reduced, and in some cases it disappeared completely. My current AMD graphics card supports this technology, and thanks to AI-based image enhancement and performance improvement, the game image became smoother, while the previously disturbing flickering effect became much less noticeable. In addition, the Anti-Lag setting also made the overall image look slightly better.
